This week dying for...

Jimmy Choo's newest clutches. The design that went into these is just amazing. These are clearly not your average clutches as you can tell by the fabric and design and work that went into making these. They are fun and flirty but also classic and dressy. Add any one of these clutches and immediately make an outfit pop. Love love love!

Target x Zac Posen

If you're a fan of low cost designer duds like me, then you probably have already heard about Target's awesome GO International collaborations. Designing his second line for the discount retailer is one of the Fashion gods himself, Zac Posen. If you're not familiar with Posen's designs think back to Carrie Bradshaw's ruined wedding and the chic, voluminous bridesmaids gowns worn by her 3 best friends.
The collection doesn't hit stores for another 9 days, but the foxy look book, a video directed by Gia Coppola, was released today and can be found on the Target website here. And judging by how fast past collections have sold out, you know where I'll be come April 25th. Consider this your warning ladies!

Lusting after Phantom Leopard

Any one know where I can get a pair?

Ok, so I know I'm just a little bit late... ok very late, but I am obsessed with these HAUTE Ashish Leopard Wedges for Topshop. Unfortunately for me they were sold out at Top Shop months and months ago. However, leave it to one of my favorite designers of the moment, Alexander Wang, to come up with a funky alternative. Now if only I can get my hands on a pair of these babies...

London Calling

When I hear the name Lulu Guinness I automatically think of my mother's habit of dragging me to Sloane Square to pick up the latest poodle-embroidered/London-themed monstrosity. This is why I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this well known British accessory designer's latest collection launched to celebrate her 20th anniversary.

Goodbye Chelsea and hello Camden Town!

I absolutley adore these snakeskin kiss clutches. They're perfect for adding a bit of London punk to your wardrobe this summer.

Things to try for spring

Let's take a look back at some of the Spring 2010 Ready to Wear fashion shows from last fall and remember some of the trends that we can now start wearing.

This dress is a three in one for spring trends. First, it is a sort of neon teal and a neon yellow color. As our previous posts, get yourself some neon in anything plain or patterned. Not only is leopard everywhere this season but big prints and patterns are also. Floral is extremely popular. Anything bold will put a spring in your step!


Shoulder pads are back (sort of). I have to admit I dreaded this look for a while when it first surfaced. As a kid born in the 80s, I know shoulder pads all too well and to me they were hell. They were a way to make yourself look a little more manly. I'm starting to like the sharp look of these funky shaped shoulders. They're definitely fun and spice up any outfit. Rihanna and Lady Gaga sport a lot of funky shaped shoulders.

Next: bold cutouts. I've seen swimsuits, shirts, and dresses with these bold cuts. It turns a plain black dress into a much sexier funkier dress. Can't afford a new dress? You can easily doctor an old dress in your closet into something new and fabulous.


Add some sparkle to your wardrobe! Sequins and studs are on everyyyyything. You can also buy a studder at your local craft store and stud basically everything you own.

Spring is going to be full of a ton of bold looks. Have fun with it!

Boy Wonders

Sexy AND Succesful.. Hot damnnn

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, founders of the label Proenza Schouler have quite an interesting story. The design duo was first thrust into fashion stardom when their entire senior thesis collection was snapped up by Barney's New York. Impressed yet? Although, I had previously heard of the brand and their kool take on sophisticated clothing, it was their sporty Spring 2010 collection that really caught my eye. (Not to mention the designers themselves!) .

Inspired by "surfing and skating, the things [we] grew up on" says Hernandez, this season their clothes take on a more athletic chic, including suit pants and lace up shoes that look like you could take em for a jog and a jacket tied around the waist turned mini dress

Their refreshingly modern take on everything from animal prints to tie dye and ruffles to feathers made me fall in love with just about every mini that floated down the runway.

Although I can't afford any of their amazing pieces on my budget, their latest collection will definitely serve as an inspiration for adding some kool to my Summer wardrobe. Heck, I might even go out and buy some roller blades too!

Dreaming about Chella...

Is this little gypsy haute or what?

For those of you lucky enough to be traveling to Indio, CA in the next few days for Coachella Music Festival... I envy you. But even though I can't be there, here's a list of my favorite fashion picks for navigating this year's incredible line-up.

Instead of rocking traditional wellies to trek through the muddy festival fields, this year I'm all about the big black motorcycle boots. My personal favorites are these Harley Davidson Alana boots or Free People studded combats.

Paired with a floral mini dress and you've nailed the hippie-rocker chic.

If it gets to be too hot, instead of the typical bikini top, pair a sexier cropped tee with your cutoffs.

For keeping the sun out of your eyes, I'm obsessed with Alexander Wang's new line of sunglasses, in particular his Superman shades. Or in true Woodstock style, a floppy wide brimmed hat or a groovy flower wreath also make the list.

Well there you have it. Rock on all you Chochella-ites. But before you head out for a what's sure to be an incredible weekend, let me leave you with this:

What I don't want to see you in this year:
1. Metallic lamé anything from American Apparel
2. Big rounded bug-eyed sunglasses
3. Neo-hippie headbands around the forehead

5. Fanny packs (and no, I don't care if it's Gucci)

Ohhhh Chelsea Handler

I was watching Chelsea Lately last night and I really liked her sweater (well really her entire outfit). She paired it with black silk cropped boyfriend pants with some nude high heels. I tried to get a picture of her entire outfit but couldn't so I thought I'd share it with you.

Coachella inspired

We're feeling a little bit inspired by Coachella since it is coming up in just 6 days. Even though there are artists like Jay-Z who are going to be there (big fan!), we still feel that Coachella still has that hippie vibe to it. We would definitely be sporting these if we were going to be there.

Miami chic

I honestly wouldn't normally consider myself a Tommy Hilfiger fan but I did see this dress in an ad and really liked it. It's classic but also modern with the stripes. It definitely goes with the Miami theme they're going for for spring. Love love love!

Hipsters, Tripsters, and real cool chicks

I don't know if it's the hippie in me but holy tie-dye I am in love. Adding this to my must-haves immediately.

What's appropriate in the real world??

Wondering what is appropriate to wear to an interview? First consider what type of job you are interviewing for. If you are interviewing for a place where you will have to dress business formal during the day make sure you dress business formal for your interview! You should not have any heavy make-up on (only the basics! that means no heavy eye-liner either!) and minimal jewelry. Try not to wear extremely bright outfits either that will make you stand out in the wrong way. You want to look neat and organized just like you should be for the position that you are interviewing for. Heels are a definite must with a business formal interview but no ridiculous heels. Sling-backs are perfect. I know you girls are smart and will wear something classy! Don't feel obligated to wear some sort of suit, you can wear a dress or a skirt and top just make sure they are not too short. Just remember to keep it simple. Less is definitely more!


Okay, now for you business casual dressers. If you are dressing business casual you can wear anything from a dress or skirt/shirt combo, to some type of khaki pants. You still want to follow the less is more. Don't wear a lot of jewelery, no crazy hair dos, and minimal on the make-up. You do have the option of wearing flats, which is good. Not sandals, but dressy flats. I would suggest to not wear anything with brand names on it because believe it or not, your interviewees will definitely be paying attention and judging you based on that. You are lucky, however, because you can be a little more creative and fun with your outfits!


For the rest of you, you have so many options but you have to remember not to look sloppy. You always want to look neat but you should dress for the job you are interviewing for. For example, I had an interview for a fashion position and I have a hot pink streak in my hair but I left it out because that shows some character and my style which is what those people are looking for. I would probably wear either a sundress or some type of skinny jeans/flowy shirt outfit.

Just make sure that you bring the best of your personalities out because that's the most important thing!

Rachel Bilson does red jeans right

We may or may not have a slight obsession with Rachel Bilson's style. Okay, so we do have a slight obsession but we obviously aren't the only ones since she has a column in Instyle. Anyways, she gives us a great example of how to wear red jeans. LOVE the leopard sling-backs with it.

YESSS we can finally start busting out the bandeaus. Our favorite is the one below from Free People. They come in multiple colors (some really great bright ones for spring!) and are great for the hot weather. They're something fun and flirty to add to your outfit. You can wear them under shirts that are baggier and are low-cut in the font, sides, and back so it's still visible under the shirt. The shirt below (also from Free People) is a good example of what to wear over a bandeau.

Fantasizing about a bag, what else?

After a visit to Africa, Rachel Bilson decided that she wanted to help the education in Africa by selling this bracelet with 20% of the proceeds going to the fund. We love her style, but we also love what she's giving back to the world.

"Shooting blanks since '07"

I came across these denim shorts about a month ago for the first time and ever since then I have seen them in a ton of stores and online stores. When I first saw them I loved them for their quirky style. They look worn in and also have a bunch of patches on them. Remember when putting patches on your clothes was cool? Well it seems it's making a comeback! This pair of Blank Jeans is definitely my favorite pair of shorts for summer.

I first saw a picture of these watches in a magazine last year and was instantly intrigued by them. They are fun, they are cool, and they are definitely a little hippie. They give you different designs to choose from but you can also build your own. You get to pick the band, the face, and whatever kind of chain accessories you want. Adding this to my wish list for sure. LOVE IT!
