Nails- Color of the Week

This Friday I received a lovely package in the mail... Inside I found my very own bottle of Butter London's most popular Fall color: 'All Hail McQueen'. A color created specifically as a tribute to the magnificent late designer.


This color is perfect for fall, a pale grey with bits of shimmer that makes me think back to his fall 2006 show and the ghostly hologram of Kate Moss.

Nail Fraud Alert

Wild Thing- Leopard Nail Fraud Kit (scissors not included)

I've been hearing all about the latest nail craze 'foil manicures' which is basically patterned paper applied to nails. So when I heard about the DIY kit that allows you to apply these fun stickers yourself, I ran right over to Urban Outfitters and picked up my own kit for only 12 bucks!

Here are my thoughts:
The kit told me all I needed to do was put on the sticker that best fit that finger's size and simply file off the rest.. While the stickers did stick to my nails, I expected it to be thinner and less paper like. Meaning when I tried to file off the ends, I ended up with a jagged edge, much like a torn piece of paper. Instead, I found that a pair of nail scissors worked best to remove the extra sticker. Once the nails were on they stayed put and of course I received lots of compliments however, they didn't last much longer than a crazy night out in the city.
So rock on you wild thangssss, and have fun dressin up your digits with Nail Fraud! But don't consider this a permanent replacement for your usual mani.

New OPI for summer!

Summer Flutter is OPI's collection for this summer and all the names are themed around butterflies. There's Flower to Flower (lighter pink), Flit a Bit (orange), Wing it (other pink), and Catch Me in Your Net (the blue color). Catch Me in Your Net is my favorite color and I'm looking forward to going to Ulta and picking it up!

Midweek pick me up please

As you know we are obsessed with nail polish... and after going on a polish binge this week at Ulta my new favorite colors are the Suede by OPI.

It's so rad, it's sparkly gunmetal grey but it is still a matte polish. Even the manicurist was freaked out by how fast it dried! So crayyy

OPI does Shrek

OPI does Shrek and we love! These are your go to nail colors for summer ladies. All the colors come with Shrek-themed names of course. My favorite color in the collection is the light blue aka Whats with the Cattitude?

Sea the Stars

Gosh, I think sea foam green nails are just so kewl. Nylon Mag recently posted a video of some new ideas for your claws from Wonderbar Nail Salon in NYC. My favorite look was nails that were airbrushed white and then turquoise, creating a subtle ombré effect, then topped off with some gems and a streak of gold. So effing great. And if you're not into the whole rhinestone thing, the color still rocks for spring.
