Paris: Day 7

Spent day 7 at Versailles. Unbelievably amazing.

Paris: Day 6 (London)

My sixth day in Paris was spent catching an early chunnel ride to London. I don't have very many pictures from London only because it was freezing out and we were only there for maybe 6 hours and we spent those hours riding around on a double decker tour bus hopping on and off. After seeing so much beautiful architecture in Paris, I thought that Buckingham Palace was very anticlimactic. Sort of like the Mona Lisa. Westminster Abbey, however, was one of my favorite things from the entire trip. It was absolutely beautiful. I even snagged a picture inside before I realized you weren't supposed to take any. Woops! I wish I could have spent more time and really explored London but I didn't get to. Next time!

Paris: Day 5

Spent my 5th day in Paris at the Louvre. The ceilings in part of the Louvre are almost more remarkable than the art exhibits in them. I think honestly that you can see the Mona Lisa better from a replica than the actual painting with the reflective glass and 10 foot guard rail. And holy shit, Napoleon had the most ridiculous "apartment" I have ever seen. If you go to the Louvre and are into architecture I highly suggest checking it out. It's tucked away in a corner but it's definitely worth it to find. I can't wait to go back and explore more!

Paris: Day 4

Day 4 was spent shopping along les Champs-Elysées and then wondering around the Tuleries, the area around the Petit Palais and the Grand Palais, checking out L'arc de Triomphe, investigating the Louvre, and finally ending with a much desired trip to the infamous Laudurée. The craftsmanship and the size of the buildings in Paris astonishes me. They paid so much attention to every single detail on every building they have ever built. I just absolutely love it. Laudurée lived up to its expectations, however the hot chocolate was literally a melted bar of chocolate. But I did have a macaroon that tasted like gardenias. Amazing!

Again, I apologize for the lack of fashion photos as I was with people who could not figure out how to use the camera. It's amazing I was even in some of the pictures.

Paris: Day 3

 

Monet's famous lily pad gardens where he painted many of his paintings. 

Sorry for the flower overload! Day 3 was spent in Giverny where Monet's house and gardens were. It was such a beautiful sunny day and I spent hours just roaming through the gardens. I do have to apologize for the lack of "outfit" photos from my Paris trip, most of my photos were very touristy pictures of monuments or me cheesily standing in front of monuments. If you ever go to France, I would take the opportunity to go to Giverny. It's not too far from Paris and it is beautiful. I think it would have been even better in summer.
