More military wear

I posted back in April about a pair of military pants that Miley Cyrus was wearing and I was really unsure to give the go-ahead to bring the military trend past the jackets and into some skinny jeans. I then came across this picture of Katy Perry and I guess this trend is picking up! I think I like Katy Perry's better because they are less obviously army pants than Miley's. I'm going to keep an eye for where you can find this trend.

Hair breakless hair ties

I have extremely thin hair and have a problem with it breaking really easily when using regular hair ties. I just found these fabulous hair ties that cause no damage to your hair and don't leave any crinks in your hair showing that you ever used them. Bracelets with good omens

Amazingggg! Found these amazing bracelets made of natural stones by Lacey Ryan. They have different sets or you can also get them individually. Each of the different colors of stone also bring different "gifts" to your life. For example, this bracelet below brings strength, protection, and luck. You can even make your own bracelet by picking out the type of band you want and adding your own charms. Love it!

Hi boyfriend

Good news... the boyfriend jean is still in. Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, and Rachel Bilson have all been seen around town sporting the boyfriend jean. If you haven't scooped up a pair yet, it's not too late to get in with the trend.

La Mer does it again

I am seriously obsessed with La Mer's watches. They have so many amazing pattern options and I love this leopard one that I came across while browsing Urban Outfitter's website. Normally $110, it's actually on sale now for $79. What a steal! If you're not into the bold patterns yet for this year, this is a much more subtle way to wear them. This definitely adds a little spice to your outfit.

While surfing the internet I came across another collection on etsy. They have extremely unique pieces including pocket watches, owls, feathers, and other nature objects. New OPI for summer!

Summer Flutter is OPI's collection for this summer and all the names are themed around butterflies. There's Flower to Flower (lighter pink), Flit a Bit (orange), Wing it (other pink), and Catch Me in Your Net (the blue color). Catch Me in Your Net is my favorite color and I'm looking forward to going to Ulta and picking it up!

Taking it to a younger generation

When I noticed this dinky rubber band bracelets, I thought it was just some fad hitting the North Shore tweens of Chicago. I must have been seriously mistaken as how they have just recently appeared on style.com's blog. My co-workers and I laughed at the stupid obsession with these $3.99 for 24 rubber bands that you can get at Walgreens that this kids had. They traded them with each other. Apparently these rubber band shapes are scouring the nation on people that are over the age of tweens. I can't advise getting this for yourself unless you are under the age of 15 but I'm sort of astounded that older people are wearing these.

We've mentioned flowers before as hair accessories and Taylor Swift shoes us another great way to accessorize with them. There's so many different ways to add a fun flower to your hair whether it's a headband, barrette, hair clip, or giant pin in flower like Taylor's. Have fun experimenting with it!

This is New York, not the desert

I know Ashley Olsen has a tendency to wear things that are a little wild, but seriously, wtf was she thinking when she put this ensemble together? This is what she wore to YSL's launch party for their new fragrance, Belle d'Opium. We're going to have to give her a what not to wear. She's looks like she's traveling in Saudi Arabia. This is a don't follow fashion moment!

The prettiest dress

I am in love with this dress from Diane von Furstenberg's Resort 2011 collection. I was a bit surprised when looking through her collection that almost all of her garments are black, white, and cream. She's usually known for her bold patterns of color but she left most of the color out for this collection. Even though she took a darker route, it still turned out amazing!

Tory Burch gets an A+

Tory Burch nails it with her Resort 2011 collection. I love love love her all of the bold patterns she used. I could do without the space man snow boots but all of her garments are amazing! So far, she has my favorite collection. Keep it up!

LVPO

I've only been living in Vegas for a few days now but I had the chance of visiting the outlets. The Las Vegas Premium Outlets are by far the best outlets I have ever been to! With a Burberry, Ferragamo, 7 for all mankind, Juicy Couture and so many others under their belt it is easily the greatest place for discounted designer merchandise. If you're going to be in the area at all, make sure you hit the mall up while you're here.

Hanky Pancreas... wait what?

So this is new... I received a message from a friend who found this website. If you're a diabetic who uses insulin pumps you're now in luck for a new fashion line made just for you. Hanky Pancreas (very clever) is the name of this new line that creates fun designs to hold your insulin pump. People are really thinking of everything these days. They're cute and come in necklaces, broaches, and a cute design that fits neatly in your jean pocket.

I researched the site and the designer is a Parsons grad and type 1 diabetic herself. It's actually kind of neat and super creative. Check out some of her designs:

This summer's IT pant

The J Brand Houlihan Twill Cargo Pant is this summer's most popular jean by far. I have been spotting them on more celebrities within the past month than I'm willing to post. Though they are one of J Brand's more expensive pant (at $231) it's worth it to add this staple item to your wardrobe for summer. We'll keep on the lookout for a way to get this look for cheaper!
