Hope you babes all had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine roaming the fields of Grant Park and checking out all the good music at Lollapalooza. For day one of the festival, my friend Anna and I decided to get crafty and made our own sparkly little face masks. While we were there we stumbled upon this great band called GroupLove.. my favorite song of their's happens to be quite perfect for this post - check them out below!

Music to my ears

Marc by Marc Jacobs is turning 10 years old.. can you believe it?! Neither can we! ...and to celebrate the brand is debuting a limited edition collection of tee shirts, dresses, and scarves of their best prints from over the past decade. Unfortunately for me, the collections will only be in stores this Thursday- Saturday in California, New York, and DC. But for those of us who won't be able to make it to select few stores, you can still celebrate with an MJ mixtape of all their favorite songs. Check it out below or listen to it at Rhapsody.com/marcmusic available Thursday

2. Pavement “Cut your hair”
3. Pulp “Common People”
4. Rufus Wainwright “California”
5. The White Stripes “Seven Nation Army”
6. REM “Orange Crush”
7. M.I.A. “Paper planes”
8. Karen O and the kids “Capsize”

The Christmas Gig

Ok ok I know this is 'supposed' to be a fashion blog, but I couldn't help but share with you the amazing Christmas playlist I found for FREE on Target's website. This store seriously just keeps getting better and better! The 14 song playlist includes tunes from Guster, Blackalicious, and Coconut Records just to name a few of my favorites.

You can download the playlist here. Just a little something to brighten your Monday morning
-Enjoy!

Song of the day: Snow Day

The snow has been falling all day, and outside my window it looks like a giant snowglobe! There's nothing better than curling up in my bed with some cozy PJs, a big mug of hot chocolate, and watching a Christmas movie.

The perfect soundtrack to this wondrous winter day:

Excuse me as I go make a snow angel or two

Song of the Day- Stereo Love

Trying to find the perfect outfit for New Years in Miami (any suggestions?) and a bit too much fun in the clubs this past week are the reason for this pick...

Stereo Love by Edward Maya featuring Alicia

I'm currently vibing this Olsen outfit for New Years Eve but have no idea where to find it or anything similar. The search is on, wish me luck!

Song of the Day- Family of the Year by Chugjug

Today's tune is a bit mellow- it pairs well with a wondrous fall day a misty forest.

Family of the year is an Indie/Folk/Pop band from Los Angeles, CA... and just so this post isn't totally unrelated to fashion... the members also have really great style!

I adore Vanessa and Christina's whimsical tulle and lace babydoll dresses

The Girl with Kaleidoscope Eyes

Light a candle, turn up the volume, and close your eyes

Only the Beatles can make you feel as if they've captured starlight on a string

I'm currently on a bit of a Sargent Pepper high, and while browsing folksy (the British version of etsy.com, how fitting right?) I found this sparkling kaleidoscope ring, which is exactly how I imagine Lucy's psychedelic eyes: a burst of
rainbow confetti.

Song of the week

I decided I'm going to start posting a song of the week. Again, not fashion related but sometimes the radio bores...

No pun intended.
