The double finger rule
The newest jewelry trend? Rings with two finger holes! There are so many cool ones out there starting with studded and bejeweled ones to animals and precious stones. We had one request for cool new jewels and this is definitely a trend that you should get behind CZ.

Metallic Heaven
Now I'm sure that you recognize this first bag below from the company Kipling. I, in fact, still have a purple over night bag from them sitting in my closet right now. They were the jam back in the 90s when I was in grade school and everyone had one.
As I was surfing the web, like I usually am when I'm procrastinating doing my homework, I found out that Kipling is coming out with these fabulous new age styles for those of us who are more fashion forward. This metallic bag below is fricking amazing and I can't wait till they are available online. This is the perfect going out purse and I love that the metallic snakeskin is filled with all rainbow colors. Fricking fantastic!

Le Placard de Mary
We just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE seeing inside vos Placards!
Recently I asked one of our new friends Mary, of http://mgstylemix.blogspot.com/ to give us a tour of her closet, and WOW, I am seriously impressed/jealous of all of her fun clothes! What I love most about Mary's closet is that she doesn't have one particular style; each piece that she owns is like a unique collectible and serves as a reminder of her many travels. Not to mention, she has some amazing vintage pieces that we can't stop drooling over. In particular, I am obsessed with her groovy Pucci top and a silver skull ring that she found in a flea market.
"I feel like my closet is an eclectic group of pieces from vintage, to higher end splurges, flea markets, gifts, things you could pick up at Forever 21 or H&M, and pieces I've snatched from my mom and even my grandpa! I love mixing these pieces for a truly unique look. I've also traveled a lot through college, interning in New York City three times, San Francisco and Los Angeles and made a conscious effort to go shopping at places that are unique to those cities."
"On a day to day basis I wear a lot of black but I always have my eye out for really special and beautiful prints, i usually find these on vintage pieces or my FAVORITE Lilly Pulitzer."
"It's from a Lilly fall collection (about 4 years ago), I love it because it's not the obvious Lilly Pulitzer print."
"Vintage Pia Rucci top. I love the bright colors and print of this top."
Vintage Lacoste sweater from her grandfather's closet!
Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet
Dolce Vita bootie that Mary bought at LF in LA
Vintage Sunglasses Mary found at Screaming Mimi's in NYC
Skull ring- a great find from the Rose Bowl Flea Market

My perfect shoulder bling
Okay, this post ties into this post but THIS shirt that Camille is wearing is exactly what I am seeing everywhere. How I cannot find it online like this I don't know! But as I was saying with the stripes and the sequin designs on the shoulders it adds the perfect sparkle to your basics. Leave it up to Camille to be so fashion forward. Love this girl!
There's good news and then there's bad news
Well guys, I've got some good news and some bad news and they both involve collaborations, our fave! While Kate Moss is blessing us with one more collection for Topshop, the bad news is that this is going to be her fourteenth (yes 14, isn't she magnificent?) and final collection on sale November 2nd. Thankfully just a few days away! Previews of the collection show the pieces to be on par with Moss' boho chic style, our favorites include a black cape dress and feathered vest.
Ok so I guess that bad news wasn't so bad... on to the good, no, GREAT news!
For those of you who may have missed out on some of the past Target Go collaborations, you are in luck! Just this week the store announced that it will be reviving a select few of it's high end collaborations to celebrate it's 5th year anniversary of the Go International program. Among the chosen few are Luella Bartley,Paul & Joe, Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, Libertine, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk, Rogan, Richard Chai, Thakoon, Rodarte, Zac Posen and Tucker. Um, I die. The collections aren't slated to start arriving in stores until March 13th, but we totally think it's worth the wait!
Kate Moss X Topshop
These collections, my little fashion birds, sell out faster than you can say Oxford Circus, so if I were you I'd get to shoppin first thing come November 2nd. Oh, and don't forget about the time change!Ok so I guess that bad news wasn't so bad... on to the good, no, GREAT news!

Rock Star
My new found friend Dani, who I believe is one of the assistant buyers for Ross, posted this photo of this amazing ring on Facebook this morning. I love all things made of natural stones so when I saw this bad boy I got so excited. Besides the ridiculous weight to the ring, it is absolutely fantastic. I have searched unsuccessfully for a version of this online but I am eagerly awaiting to hear where she found this. I'll keep you updated... Sunshine

Bling Bling it's a Shoulder Thing
Guess the new trend... beaded, sequined shoulders. Everyday I see at least one girl wearing a shirt similar to the ones below with different designs on the shoulder of their (mostly long-sleeve) knits. Most of them are also striped shirts with the sequins so I was surprised that I couldn't find any like that online. The girls that I asked where they got their shirts mostly said Zara but I couldn't find any on their website. Regardless, I love this new trend that adds a little something to a basic.

Sacrificial Fashion
I just saw this photo of Nikki Hilton and am now officially obsessed with her bag. This Alexander Wang Rocco bag is simply marvelous with its studded bottom and purple-grey leather. I've heard complaints about this bag being too heavy because of the studded bottom but come one, we all make sacrifices for fashion!
The Girl with Kaleidoscope Eyes
Light a candle, turn up the volume, and close your eyes
Only the Beatles can make you feel as if they've captured starlight on a string
I'm currently on a bit of a Sargent Pepper high, and while browsing folksy (the British version of etsy.com, how fitting right?) I found this sparkling kaleidoscope ring, which is exactly how I imagine Lucy's psychedelic eyes: a burst of rainbow confetti.

Wanderlust
Right now I'm in the middle of reading Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac. Sometimes I wish I could just pack up and go live in the forest for awhile too...
